fruitcake the cardinal

Depicted here is a male Northern Cardinal, (Cardinalis Cardinalis) the males are known for their deep-red plumage while the females are a light tan/brown colour. These birds can be very protective of their territory, especially during spring and early summer. The males are so fiercely territorial that they will spend hours attacking their reflection in inanimate objects.

The original was created using a bunch of traditional mixed media. Copic Markers, Polychromo Pencil Crayons, inks, and Inktense Pencils.
